If you’re looking to celebrate in style with your friends and family, then you’ll need the space to do this. Luckily, Hylands Estate offers plenty of room, both inside and out, for your celebrations. The Grand Pavilion holds up to 300 guests and has everything you need to make your wedding meal a spectacular banquet and your evening reception an event to remember. The Grand Pavilion also accommodates for large décor designs such as Mandaps with sacred fires, Nikkah staging and Chuppahs.

The House itself is extremely beautiful and large; the grounds only add to the glory. For weddings with a Bharat arrival with Dhol players, the stunning backdrop creates that extra wow-factor on arrival. Inside, Hylands holds up to 100 guests in the Banqueting Room and up to 80 in the Drawing Room.

Venue-only hire

At Hylands, you can customise your own wedding from décor, right through to the caterers and florists. You may know a great DJ who you want to bring too – the choice is yours. Think of Hylands as a blank canvas that you can style to match your every need. Your caterer can use the kitchen as well as an outside cooking area for alternative cooking methods. This type of offering is perfect for couples who wish to bring their own touches to their special day. Whether this be a more intimate affair, or something for friends and extended family!

Does this sound like something that would work for you and your future bride or groom?

Location

Location, location, location. That’s the key to a perfect wedding, right? Well, Hylands is situated within Hylands Park, that is well known for its beauty – all 574 acres of it! The venue itself is an award-winning Grade II* Listed Mansion House with picturesque formal gardens. The décor inside is also incredibly stunning and full of character.

Hylands Estate is around an hour’s journey from London and if that’s where you live, then why not escape to Chelmsford’s countryside and experience the elegance the House has to offer?

There is also on-site parking for friends and family which is available from the start of the day, through to midnight.

If you’re keen to party before your big day or need somewhere to stay after the event, then there are plenty of great hotels and accommodation that are only a short drive away from the Hylands Park. The park is around a 10-minute drive from the city centre. Hotels nearby can be found here: www.booking.com/city/gb/chelmsford.en-gb.html.
