Winner of parks I-Spy competition announced
Jo Sylvester has been chosen as the winner of Chelmsford City Council’s recent I-Spy Facebook competition.
The competition called for residents to visit their local parks in a hunt to photograph three things: something man-made, a flower and the tallest tree in sight. As the weather warmed up, residents posted their photo finds this on the council’s Facebook page in hopes of winning. All entries which met the criteria were entered into a random prize draw.
Jo did just that with the following images and has become the lucky winner of a £50 Amazon voucher.
““After two years of lockdowns and stress, we know that some of our community have been struggling with getting active again. In some small way, I hope the competition and our recent parks social media campaign has helped inspire some people to take that first step of going out for a walk or meeting a friend in their local park and looking at the outdoors in a different way.
Rebecca Webb, who organised the competition
"So many people got involved in the challenge and explored their local parks. It is great to see that the parks and green spaces in Chelmsford are so loved by residents. We hope this continues as the weather gets better in spring and summer. Thank you to everyone who took part!”
