Town council election cancelled with uncontested seat
Only one candidate has been confirmed for the vacant seat on South Woodham Ferrers town council, which means the seat is uncontested and the election on 5 May has therefore been cancelled.
Terry Sherlock (Liberal Democrats) is duly elected as a councillor for the Elmwood ward.
The vacancy followed the resignation of a sitting councillor.
