The new Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex 2024

An election for the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (PFCC) for Essex was held in Chelmsford on Thursday 2 May 2024.

There is just one seat for the whole of Essex. The votes have now been counted and can be declared.

Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) make sure that local police meet the needs of the community.

In Essex, the PCC also oversees Essex County Fire and Rescue Service and is called the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex.
