Christmas at the Stables returns this winter
Hylands Estate’s festive shopping event, Christmas at the Stables, is returning this month. The event was incredibly popular in 2021 and 2022 and this year it’s back once again for two joyful evenings on Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 November 2024.
Some of you might be in denial that we’re approaching Christmas once again already, but with November now here, the reality is that Christmas Day is only seven weeks away! Whether you've started your Christmas shopping, or you haven’t yet given it a thought, Christmas at the Stables offers the perfect local shopping experience this winter.
Browse great quality gifts from local traders and resident artists
This event will have everything you need to make your festive season extra special. Plus, with most products being locally sourced and eco-friendly, you’ll feel positive about buying gifts that are kind to our planet and help to reduce your carbon footprint this Christmas.
Exciting goodies from small traders and homegrown businesses will include hampers of award-winning pickles, chutneys and sauces; locally produced wines and spirits; handmade vegan and palm oil free candles and soaps; crystal infused jewellery; homemade chocolates; children’s clothing; handcrafted dog treats; and the return of the popular alpaca shop with socks, scarves, jumpers and ponchos!
Hylands’ community of artists will also be opening their studio doors for the evening, allowing you to explore their creative spaces on the ground and first floor of The Stables. Their dedicated artists’ shop selling all things #MadeAtHylands will also be open for all your gifting needs. You’ll find 3D-printed Christmas decorations, personalised wood engraved gifts and bespoke silver jewellery among other things.
The Stables' second-hand bookshop will be open on both evenings too, so you can look for your next read among their great value pre-loved books.
Soak up the festive atmosphere
Aside from the incredible gifts and decorations, Christmas at the Stables will also offer delicious treats, including seasonal mulled wine and hot chocolate. The Deli will be open offering special festive pizzas from their vintage van, and the ski gondola from Anglais Catering will be returning with their mouth-watering cheese raclette. For sweet treats, there’ll be dutch pancakes and a fountain of handmade chocolate.
Plus, HotBox Live will be providing live music with festive acoustic sets, so you can soak up the atmosphere as you relax with friends and family.
