Chelmsford Theatre’s Live at the Studio
Looking for some quality stand-up shows? Chelmsford Theatre’s brand-new Live at the Studio introduces an outstanding lineup of both established and emerging stand-up acts to meet all your comedy needs.
Varied intimate performances to amuse all audiences
Live at the Studio brings sharp talking stand-up to Chelmsford Theatre’s intimate 165-seater studio theatre.
From social media sensations to pun professionals, you’ll find all the big names from your favourite TV and online comedy acts. There’s star of Mock The Week and Have I Got News For You, Ria Lina, kicking off her debut tour following a ‘Riawakening’ during the pandemic. While Kiri Pritchard-McLean, a regular on 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and QI, shares her experience of being a foster parent for the first time.
For those glued to their phones there’s an opportunity to experience some of your favourite social media sensations in the flesh! The theatre will be welcoming viral comedian Christopher Hall to share more about his life as a boy who’s a bit girly really, as well as British Comedian of the Year and social media star, Jeff Innocent, for the second half of his debut nationwide tour.
Eshaan Akbar also returns to the studio after last year’s debut tour saw him draw a large crowd for his keen observational wit. Star of Sex Education and Live At The Apollo, Eshaan has supported some of the UK’s biggest acts, including Micky Flanagan and Jason Manford.
And not to forget one of the hottest newcomers on the comedy circuit, Emmanuel Sonubi (sold out!), and seasoned comedian and actress, Lucy Porter, who goes into graphic detail about her (many) regrets in her latest hilarious tour.
