Britain’s Got Talent’s Malakai Bayoh to perform at Hylands Estate

Malakai

Malakai Bayoh, Britain’s Got Talent 2023 sensation, will perform at the Proms Spectacular at Hylands Estate this August. The concert celebrates the best of classical music and will see Malakai perform alongside the London Orion Symphony Orchestra, with several other top acts also set to appear.

Fourteen-year-old stunned BGT viewers with his ‘Golden Voice’

Fourteen-year-old Malakai Bayoh stunned viewers and won the approval of judges on Britain’s Got Talent earlier this year with his rendition of Pie Jesu by Andrew Lloyd Webber. His outstanding vocals achieved the coveted ‘Golden Buzzer’ from Simon Cowell. The judge described his voice as ‘one of the best voices I think I’ve ever heard’.

The teenager has been singing since he was seven years old and is a member of the Choir of St George’s Cathedral, Southwark and the Schola Cantorum of The Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School.

Called ‘the nation’s favourite treble’ by Classic FM, Malakai recently sang in front an audience of 5,000 at the Royal Albert Hall, performing arias by Mozart and Handel to great acclaim. With his very first album, Golden, released today, it has now been announced that Malakai will bring his breath-taking voice to the Proms Spectacular at Hylands Estate on Saturday 5 August. There, he’ll perform alongside the 50-piece London Orion Symphony Orchestra.

The London Orion Symphony Orchestra

The Orion Orchestra provides young musicians with opportunities and mentorship to bridge the gap between music college and their professional careers. Boasting some of the finest young musicians in the country, they inspire future generations of music prodigies through accessible concerts.

Conducted by the established Andy Berryman, the Orion Orchestra will perform a selection of classical favourites, including Nessun Dorma, Land of Hope & Glory and Jerusalem.
