Play in the Park returns this summer
Play in the Park is back this summer with a variety of free activities available for children aged between three and 11.
Two-hour sessions will run for children in Chelmsford throughout the summer holidays and will be led by the Community Sport and Wellbeing teams’ trusted playworkers. There are 90 sessions available across 20 different venues in Chelmsford and South Woodham Ferrers and will be running from 25 July to 26 August.
Please note, there can only be a maximum of 200 children per session. Spaces must be booked in advance to secure a spot. You can register your child on the Chelmsford City Sports website.
What is Play in the Park?
Play in the Park is a completely free series of two-hour sessions. They run for children between the ages of three and 11 (sessions are suitable for everyone, including those with accessible needs). Sessions are run across multiple community venues in Chelmsford.
What to expect
Children can join in with the ‘playworkers’ to play, create and take part in fun sports, games and craft activities in a local Chelmsford park. Some sessions feature additional activities such as inflatables, reptile handling and scooter lessons. Any additional information about sessions will be available once a child’s spot has been confirmed.
Essential information
Each child will need suitable clothing for any weather and for playing games. They will also need a snack and drink.
All children must be supervised (within the park/venue grounds) by a responsible adult, parent, or guardian throughout the whole session. This is to ensure the safety of all children at our sessions.
Dates, more information and how to register your child can be found on the Chelmsford City Sports website.
