Chelmsford Mayor invites you to virtual civic service

The Mayor of Chelmsford, Councillor Jude Deakin, would like to warmly invite everyone to watch the civic service being streamed online from Chelmsford Cathedral on Monday 28 June at 5.15pm.

A civic service takes place each year at Chelmsford Cathedral to recognise and give thanks for the part played by public bodies in the service of the community.

The service is going to stream live on the Cathedral’s YouTube channel. People can watch along at the time of the service or at a later, more convenient date.

This year’s service has been arranged in line with covid-19 restrictions and guidance from the cathedral. Unfortunately, on this occasion, you can only physically attend the service if you’re invited. But the online stream means anyone who would like to be a part of the service can be.

The service will shine a light on the work being done in Chelmsford to support citizens’ wellbeing. Watch the cathedral’s YouTube channel from 5.15pm on Monday 28 June to attend this year’s choral evensong.
