Take part in the Summer Solstice Stride

A Close Up Of Someone's Walking Boots As They Make Their Way Through Leafy Woodland

A Summer Solstice Stride is taking place on Thursday 23 June at 7pm to raise money for the Mayor of Chelmsford’s chosen charities: Farleigh Hospice and Parkinson’s UK Chelmsford.

Both a 5km and 10km stride will start at the Lord Ashcroft building at Anglia Ruskin University (after a 6.45pm meet) and you will be guided along the rivers, through the parks of Chelmsford. A friendly team of walk leaders will be leading and back marking each walk. There will also middle markers and cycle marshals to keep you on track.

Stride routes

Both routes will start together in the same direction, until they eventually split at approximately 2.5km. The routes will take you along public footpaths and field edges. The routes will lead back to Anglia Ruskin University where you will be asked to check back in. Refreshments will be available at the cafe which closes at 9pm.

Prices

It costs £3 per person which will go towards your entry fee and the Mayor’s charities.
