Free holiday clubs are running this half term for children eligible for benefits-based free school meals and working families who need additional support.

Clubs running at Council’s leisure centres

Chelmsford Sport and Athletics Centre and South Woodham Ferrers Leisure Centre, run by Chelmsford City Council, are taking part in the ActivAte programme being held across Essex. The clubs will run for three days, from Monday 30 May to Wednesday 1 June.

Different activities are planned to cater for a range of interests and abilities, with plenty of exercise and games in store. A typical day might start with an ice-breaker, followed by sport or games. Free lunch is available for eligible children.

Clubs are free and run by Active Essex

Essex ActivAte clubs are part of the Holiday Activity and Food programme run by Active Essex in partnership with Essex County Council.

The sessions at CSAC and South Woodham Ferrers Leisure Centre, are open to anyone who is eligible. Go to the Active Essex website for all the details.
