Children Playing Outside

There are over 3,000 spaces across 16 two-hour long sessions which will take place across Chelmsford parks and South Woodham Ferrers. Sessions will run from 5 April to 14 April 2022 and there are some great activities to keep your children entertained through the Easter holidays.

If your children are aged between 3 and 11 then book them a space today by visiting www.chelmsford.gov.uk/play.

What is Play in the Park?

Play in the Park is a completely free series of two-hour sessions that run for children between the ages of 3 and 11 (sessions are suitable for everyone, including those with accessible needs). Sessions are run across multiple community venues in Chelmsford.

If your child or children are interested in creating, playing sports and playing games, then why not book them a space into some of our upcoming sessions.

What can you expect from these sessions?

Activities vary per session and location, but you can expect there to be great fun and games, sport activities, arts and crafts and much more in a park near you! Some sessions also feature additional activities called ‘extras’ such as inflatables, reptile handling and scooter lessons.

Additional information about which ‘extra’ activity is at each session can be found on the Chelmsford City Sports website.

Other information…

Be sure to provide your children with suitable clothing for playing games and ensure they are prepared for any weather. Also, if you can give them a drink and a snack then the team will do the rest! You can call the team for more information on 01245 606569. A parent or carer may be required to stay during the session.
