A 5km walk under Chelmsford’s twinkling Christmas lights is happening on Thursday 9 December at 7pm to raise money for the Mayor’s chosen charities: Helping Hands, Mind and Sanctus.

The walk will start at the Lord Ashcroft Building of Anglia Ruskin University. It will lead you through to Chelmsford high street, Moulsham Street, Market Square, and the Cathedral grounds. There will be a team of walk leaders who take small groups at a time along the route. Groups will set off every five minutes from 7pm onwards and a time slot will be given to you when you register.

A map of the route can be downloaded in advance.

There is a small, suggested donation of £3 per person per person taking part in the event which will go to the charities and will cover event costs. Pre-booking is essential, so please go to www.chelmsford.gov.uk/yuletidestride for more information or call 01245 606569. You can also email: heartandsole@chelmsford.gov.uk
