pubs reopening 12 April as lockdown rules are lifted

The pub trade has been one of the hardest-hit sectors to work in during the coronavirus pandemic – but help is on its way.

Forced closures have taken their toll. The lockdowns have seen pubs and other hospitality venues close and reopen numerous times. Each reopening has put different rules in place.

If you work in this industry and need some help ahead of the reopening date of 12 April or preparing for the year ahead, read on…

“The pub and hospitality sector has experienced the very direct impact of the various restrictions and control measures implemented, often at very short notice to halt and reduce the spread of coronavirus across England.”

What help is available?

A business support scheme has launched to help Chelmsford pubs rebuild their businesses following the challenges of the past year.

This scheme sees a hospitality expert brought in who has over 25 years of experience in the industry. Working through Let’s Do Business Group, they will provide free bespoke advice and guidance to local pubs as they prepare to open their doors to the public again.

“This additional support and advice service provides industry experience and insight directly to individual business owners operating pubs and hospitality businesses and we look forward to helping those small business owners take best advantage of the opportunities that will exist once restrictions start to be lifted on 12 April.”

Who is the help for?

The one-to-one business advice is for Chelmsford pubs and hospitality venues only. The expert will work with businesses to take a close look at how they run. They will help spot opportunities for future expansion. Help will cover issues such as financial help and cashflow planning. Other hot topics will be marketing, communications and tips on how to use social media for business promotion.
